? Music Begins ?Good afternoon, earlier today the Supreme Courtupheld the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act.

The time has come, execute order 66.

Today's decision was a victory for peopleall over this country whose lives will be more secure because of this law and the SupremeCourt's decision to uphold it.

And because this law has a direct impact on so many AmericansI wanna take this opportunity to talk about exactly what it means for you.

First, if yourone of the more than 250 million Americans whoalready have health insurance, you will keep your health insurance.

This law will onlymake it more secure and more affordable.

"I said this once or twice but it bares repeating.

""You can keep your plan if you are satisfied with it.

""If you like the plan you have, you can keep it.

""If you like your plan and you like your doctor, you won't have to do a thing.

You keep yourplan.

" "We will keep this promise to the Americanpeople, if you like your doctor you will be able to keep your doctor.

Period.

" If youlike your healthcare plan, you will be able tokeep your healthcare plan.

Period.

" "You will beable to keep your health care plan.

" ? Music Stops ? Now the other news that people have focused on lately has to do with notices thatsome Americans have gotten from their insurance companies suggesting that because of the AffordableCare Act, they may be losing the plan that they bought.

Now while virtually every insureris offering new better plans and competing for these folks business, I realize that canbe scary for people if they just get some notice like that.

Now if you have or had oneof these plans before the Affordable Care Act came into law, and you really liked thatplan what we said was, "You could keep it.

" "If it hasn't changed since the laws passed.

".

"If it hasn't changed since the laws passed.

".

? Music Begins ?"If you got health insurance you can keep it.

" "If you like your healthcare plan, you will keep your plan.

" "If you'vegot health insurance you like your doctor youlike your plan, you can keep your doctor you can keep your plan.

" "Nobody is talking abouttaking that away from you.

" "If you have insurance that you like, then you will be able to keepthat insurance.

" "If you like your doctor orhealth care plan, you can keep it.

" "No matter what you've heard.

" "If you like your healthcare plan you can heep-keep your health care plan.

""If you like your health care plan, you can keep your health care plan.

""I said this once or twice, but it bears repeating.

" "If you like your doctor, you can keep yourdoctor.

" "If you like your private health insuranceplan, you can keep your plan.

" "Period.

""If you like your health care plan, you can keep yourhealth care plan.

" "If you like your private healthinsurance plan you can keep it.

" "If you are among the hundreds of millions of Americanswho already have health insurance through yourjob or medicare or medicaid or the VA, nothing in this plan will require you or your employerto change the coverage or the doctor you have.

(Crowd Applause) (Crowd Applause) "Let me.

Let me repeat this, nothing inour plan requires you to change what you have.

" "You lie!" (Crowd Boos) "That's not true.

" "And one more, misunderstanding I wanna clear up, under our plan.

""If you like your plan and you like your doctor you won't have to do a thing.

You keep yourplan.

" "Our approach would preserve the right ofAmericans who have insurance to keep their doctor andtheir plan.

" "If you wanna keep the health insurance yougot.

You can keep it.

" "If you like the insuranceplan you have now, you can keep it.

" "And if youlike your insurance plan, you will keep it.

" "So if you like your plan, you can keep yourplan.

" "If you like your plan, keep your plan.

" "Ifyou like your current insurance, you will keepyour current insurance.

" "If you like your plan, you can keep your plan.

" "If you likeyour plan you can keep your plan.

" "ehh if you're happy with what you've got, nobody's changing it.

" "I've said this once or twice but it bearsrepeating.

".

“The Supreme Court led by Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. upheld the heart of President Obama’s healthcare law Thursday, ruling that the government may impose tax penalties on those who do not have health insurance. The decision came on a 5-4 vote, with the court’s four liberal justices joining with the chief justice. On one hand, Roberts agreed with the law’s conservative critics who said Congress does not have the power to mandate the purchase of a private product such as health insurance. But the Affordable Care Act does not impose a true legal mandate on Americans, he said. It simply requires those who do not have health insurance by 2014 to pay a tax penalty…”.* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down. *Read more here from the LA Times: www.latimes.com Support The Young Turks by Subscribing bit.ly Like Us on Facebook: www.fb.com Follow Us on Twitter: twitter.com Find out how to watch The Young Turks on Current by clicking here: www.current.com
